This is my life

I'm Sara. I'm 26. I married my best friend in 2008, when I was 20 and he was 17. We have 2 beautiful daughters. Alexis is 3, born on October 9, 2010 and Harmony on November 16, 2013, as well as an Angel baby in Heaven. I am a stay at home mom who likes cloth diapers, finding good deals, cooking and this crazy life I have been blessed with!

Oh, so we have a hubby approved solution to co-sleeping. I currently have a bed rail on my side of the bed like I did when I was 4. Now the little stinker won’t roll off in the middle of the night!

The key to easy bedtime is more outside playtime. It was 96 today but Lexi played outside for close to 2 hours before lunch then again for 45 minutes after dinner! After bath when I put her to bed she was asleep within minutes! I’m trying to wean her off of watching tv all day. I’ll admit that I have been bad about letting her watch as much as she wants. Shooting for more outside play, more reading and more creative play from now on!

Be with someone who you don’t have to hide from, in any way. Whether it’s your morning face before you’ve put any make up on, an embarrassing story about something that happened on your way home, or an ambition you’ve had since you were six years old… make sure you end up with someone who listens to and accepts all of it, and still loves you. A person you can tell your whole life to is a person worth spending a life with.

little things that actually make a difference to general life happiness:
•drinking lots of water
•eating fresh fruit
•thinking positively about yourself and others
•washing your face twice a day
•changing your sheets once a week
•hot baths with Epsom salts
•face masks using from things in your house
•sleeping more than 7 hours per night
•reorganizing your clothes, makeup, possessions etc
•keeping your living space clean

Need to do these more!

6- Bridal shower I’m throwing for my best friend of 20+ years

19- Harmony will be 10 months

20- Bachelorette Party, winery hopping for wine tastings!

27- Frozen on Ice

27- 6 year wedding anniversary!

There’s plenty more going on this month but these are the highlights. Also will be planning and sending invites out for Lexi 4th birthday which is in October. And beginning to plan Harmony’s first birthday in November! (I’m not going to cry!) I’m also hoping to fit in a day trip to Charlottesville (about 2.5 hours away) to visit our favorite apple orchard to pick apples.

Hiding out at Starbucks because I can’t handle moming today! Ugh!! I hate this feeling! I’m in such a funk and can’t kick it.

Getting a little sad going through Harmony’s 12 month fall and winter clothes and remembering times when Lexi wore them 3 years ago! My babies are growing too fast!

Went to steak and shake for the first time today for lunch. It is newly opened and was right after church so it was PACKED! We had to stand and wait for close to an hour. Harmony was great right up until the end when she was HUNGRY. So I went to the bathroom to get her latched then walked out no problem and fed her right there standing in the middle of the restaurant. No one said anything, only one woman stared…for quite a while. I almost asked for a tip since she was looking so hard but I ignored her. I love that I am finally confident enough to do that around that many people. I love that I can still modestly breastfeed, without a cover and keep my baby happy! And even though we waited for ever to eat it was tasty and my in laws paid!

Sold 4 Kawaii newborn pockets, 3 thirsties covers and 3 snappier to a lady for $30, they served us well and now I’m happy be rid of them and have a little extra cash! That’s one of my favorite things about cloth is being able to resell them instead of trashing them like sposies! Now too sell the massive pile of Alvas, Kawaii and other cheapies with microfiber inserts that I have collected!
